Keeping ductless systems running right
Mini-splits are reliable, but they aren't maintenance-free. The indoor filters need washing every few months, the blower wheel collects dust, the condensate drain can clog, and the outdoor coil needs the same care as any heat pump.
We repair and maintain every major ductless brand. If yours is throwing a code, dripping water, blowing weak air or not heating, we'll read the diagnostics, find the cause and give you a flat price.
An annual ductless cleaning keeps the heads quiet, the air clean and the efficiency where it was the day it was installed.

Common ductless problems
What we see most
Water dripping from the head
A clogged condensate line or a pump that quit. Quick to fix, and worth doing before it stains the wall.
Weak airflow or musty smell
A blower wheel caked with dust. A deep cleaning restores the airflow and the smell goes with it.
Error code on the display
Every brand has its own codes. We have the manuals and the tools to read them.
Not heating in winter
Often a charge problem or a defrost issue. Occasionally the outdoor unit is buried in snow.

Ductless Repair & Maintenance questions
How often should a mini-split be cleaned?+
Wash the filters yourself every two to three months. Have the blower wheel and coils professionally cleaned once a year, or more if you have pets or smoke summers.
Why is my mini-split dripping?+
The condensate drain is blocked, or a condensate pump has failed. Turn the unit off and call us. It's a quick fix.

What your neighbors are saying
“Our furnace quit on a Sunday night in January. They were here Monday morning, showed me the cracked igniter, gave me a price and had it running in under an hour. No upsell, no drama.”
“Second opinion saved us thousands. Another company said we needed a whole new system. Bright Peak found a failed capacitor and a dirty coil. That was two summers ago and it's still running fine.”
“They installed two ductless heads in our old North End house in a day. The crew was polite, cleaned up, and walked us through the remotes. We finally have air conditioning.”
