Fast AC repair when the house is heating up
An air conditioner rarely fails on a mild day. It fails at 4pm on the hottest Friday of the year, when every other unit in the neighborhood is also running flat out.
We plan for that. In summer our trucks carry the capacitors, contactors, fan motors and refrigerant that cover most repairs, and no-cool calls go to the front of the schedule.
You'll get a diagnosis you can understand, a flat price before any work, and an honest read on whether the repair is worth it given the age of the unit.

Common AC problems
What we fix most often
Blowing warm air
Low refrigerant from a leak, a failed compressor, or an outdoor unit that isn't running. We find which before adding anything.
Won't turn on
A failed capacitor is the single most common summer repair. Contactors, breakers and thermostats cover most of the rest.
Iced-up coil
Low airflow or low charge. Running it while frozen can damage the compressor, so shut it off and call.
Water around the furnace
A clogged condensate drain. Simple to clear, and worth doing before it reaches the floor.
Runs all day, never catches up
A dirty coil, a low charge, or a unit that's too small for the house. The readings tell us which.
Loud outdoor unit
A failing fan motor or a compressor starting hard. Both are better fixed early.
Why we don't just add refrigerant
A sealed system doesn't use up refrigerant. If it's low, it leaked. Topping it off without finding the leak means you'll be paying for the same service next summer, and if the unit uses an older refrigerant, each top-off gets more expensive. We find the leak, show you where it is, and tell you whether repairing it makes sense.
Before you call
Check the thermostat is on cool and set below the room temperature. Check the breaker for the outdoor unit. Change the filter if it's dirty. If the indoor coil is iced, turn the system off and the fan on to thaw it. If none of that helps, we're a phone call away.

AC Repair questions
How much does an AC repair cost?+
It depends on the part. We'll give you a flat price after the diagnosis and before any work. Capacitors and contactors are modest; compressors and leak repairs on older units are where the repair-or-replace conversation starts.
Can you come today?+
In summer, usually. No-cool calls are first on the board and Comfort Club members get priority. We'll give you a real arrival window when you call.
Why is my AC running but not cooling?+
Most often low refrigerant from a leak or a dirty outdoor coil. Sometimes the indoor coil is iced over. We check the pressures and temperatures to find out rather than guessing.
Is it worth repairing a 15-year-old air conditioner?+
For a capacitor or a fan motor, probably. For a compressor or a refrigerant leak, usually not, because a new unit will cost less to run and comes with rebates. We'll show you both numbers.

What your neighbors are saying
“Our furnace quit on a Sunday night in January. They were here Monday morning, showed me the cracked igniter, gave me a price and had it running in under an hour. No upsell, no drama.”
“Second opinion saved us thousands. Another company said we needed a whole new system. Bright Peak found a failed capacitor and a dirty coil. That was two summers ago and it's still running fine.”
“They installed two ductless heads in our old North End house in a day. The crew was polite, cleaned up, and walked us through the remotes. We finally have air conditioning.”
