Ready before the first hundred-degree week
Most of the air conditioners we repair in July would have been fine with a tune-up in May. A capacitor reading low, a coil clogged with cottonwood fluff, a charge a little off. Small things, until the heat arrives.
Our spring tune-up takes about an hour. We wash the outdoor coil, check the indoor coil and drain, test the capacitor and contactor, measure the refrigerant charge and the temperature split, and tighten the electrical connections. You get the readings in writing.
Comfort Club members have it scheduled automatically, with the fall furnace visit, and 15% off any repair we find.

Why cottonwood matters here
If you live near the river or the canals, you know June: cottonwood fluff everywhere. It mats onto the outdoor coil like felt, and a coil that can't breathe makes the compressor work harder and run hotter. A coil wash in late spring is the single most useful thing a tune-up does in the Treasure Valley.

AC Maintenance questions
When should I schedule AC maintenance?+
April or May, before the heat and after the worst of the cottonwood. Comfort Club members get it booked automatically.
Does maintenance really prevent breakdowns?+
Most of them. A tune-up catches the weak capacitor, the low charge and the clogged coil, which between them cover most summer no-cool calls.
What does an AC tune-up cost?+
We'll give you the price when you call. With the Comfort Club, both annual visits and a repair discount are covered by the membership.

What your neighbors are saying
“Our furnace quit on a Sunday night in January. They were here Monday morning, showed me the cracked igniter, gave me a price and had it running in under an hour. No upsell, no drama.”
“Second opinion saved us thousands. Another company said we needed a whole new system. Bright Peak found a failed capacitor and a dirty coil. That was two summers ago and it's still running fine.”
“They installed two ductless heads in our old North End house in a day. The crew was polite, cleaned up, and walked us through the remotes. We finally have air conditioning.”
