Heating in the Treasure Valley
Heating repair, installation and maintenance in Boise, Idaho
Furnaces, heat pumps and everything that keeps a house warm through an Idaho winter.
- Family owned
- Licensed & insured
- Flat-rate pricing
- Same-day service
Warm by tonight, reliable all winter
Treasure Valley winters sit below freezing for weeks at a time, and the inversions that park cold air over the valley in January make a furnace run harder than the thermometer suggests. When the house won't hold temperature, you don't need a lecture about it. You need someone at the door with the right part and a clear price.
That's what we do. Bright Peak repairs every major furnace and heat pump brand, replaces systems that have reached the end, and keeps good ones running with a real maintenance visit, not a filter swap and a handshake.
You'll always know the price before any work starts. If a repair doesn't make sense against the age of the equipment, we'll say so and show you the numbers either way.

Repair or replace?
A furnace that still runs but costs more each winter is the hard case. Our rule of thumb: if it's under 12 years old and the repair is a single part, fix it. If it's past 15 and this is the second repair in two winters, start pricing a replacement, because the next repair is already on its way.
We'll put both numbers in front of you. A repair quote, and what a new system would cost installed, with the rebates that apply. Then it's your call, with no pressure either direction.
Heat pumps in a cold climate
Ten years ago a heat pump in Boise meant backup heat strips and a high winter bill. Cold-climate inverter heat pumps changed that. The ones we install hold full output well below zero and cost less to run than gas through most of the shoulder seasons.
For homes that already have a good gas furnace, a dual-fuel setup pairs the two: the heat pump runs in mild weather, the furnace takes over on the coldest nights. You get the efficiency without giving up the backup.

Heating questions
How fast can you get here when the heat is out?+
No-heat calls go to the top of the board in winter. Most days we're there the same day, and we'll give you a real arrival window when you call, not a four-hour maybe.
Do you work on my brand of furnace?+
Yes. We service every major residential furnace and heat pump brand sold in Idaho and carry the common parts on the truck, so most repairs finish in one visit.
Is a heat pump really enough for a Boise winter?+
A cold-climate model is. The units we install are rated to keep full heating output well below zero. For homes with an existing gas furnace, we usually recommend keeping it as backup in a dual-fuel setup.
How often should a furnace be serviced?+
Once a year, before the heating season. A fall tune-up catches cracked igniters, dirty flame sensors and weak blower motors before the first cold snap, which is when they fail.
Reviews
What your neighbors are saying
“Our furnace quit on a Sunday night in January. They were here Monday morning, showed me the cracked igniter, gave me a price and had it running in under an hour. No upsell, no drama.”
“Second opinion saved us thousands. Another company said we needed a whole new system. Bright Peak found a failed capacitor and a dirty coil. That was two summers ago and it's still running fine.”
“They installed two ductless heads in our old North End house in a day. The crew was polite, cleaned up, and walked us through the remotes. We finally have air conditioning.”
